Serendipity Stamps Challenge #45 - Monochromatic Cards

It's time for the July challenge from Serendipity Stamps. This month it's all about ONE color, that's right just choose one color to focus on and make something that is monochromatic. Check out the Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog to find all the deets on how to play along with the Design Team and win a gift certificate for a little summer shopping!

Check out the monochromatic cards for today...

I inked up these fun geometric stamps and created a background using three different blue inks and the Retro Rectangle Stamp Set. Using the MISTI to stamp made this really easy to make sure that my blocks stayed straight. Wondering how -- check out this great video that Lydia did! When I created the background I made sure to be aware of how many times I was stamping each block and the colors... making a point to keep everything nicely balanced. Then the card evolved and I ended up adding the center panel which screwed up how nicely balanced the blocks were done! Finished card is an A2.

  1. Very cool, Jenny! Love the retro rectangles & your layers really pump it up.

  2. Wonderful background!! Hmmmm.....need to play with these retro images!!

  3. Fun retro stamping in monochrome and pretty layers on that sentiment! The piercing is your trademark and perfection!
