Today's hop list!
Have a great day!
The Impression Obsession Hop is here... one of my most favorite times of the year! IO has an awesome and jam packed release the time around. I thought I'd share this fun flamingo today! I started by creating my own background paper, stamping the new Cover-a-Card background - Diamond Maze in pink ink. I stamped the background on pink card stock as well, then overstamped the flamingo, cutting to out. The extra cut out flamingo got popped up with foam tape to add a little dimension. The sentiment Be the Flamingo is bold and pairs up up with the bold line flamingo perfectly.

With the flamingo having bold black lines, I tried to balance that out by adding bold black accents. I used some printed washi and wrapped a thick band of jute string around the panel along with some bling. The little scalloped pink piece is a a portion of a frame from the All in One Rectangle Die Set.

On the inside panel, I used the background Diamond Maze again, the pattern is light enough that it doesn't compete with sentiment. The sentiment is from the Heart Beats clear set released earlier this year. I used pieces from the All in One Rectangle Frame Set

You can see I added a little frame piece to the top as well. I trimmed all the hanging edges clean and added a black mat. Love the way this gives just a little extra detail... cut out with scraps from the card. I usually try to use up as much as I can of whatever card stock I am working with. Finished card size is 3 1/2" x 8".

  1. I call myself a flamingo because I am a native Floridian that flies north for the summer. This die is perfect for me and I love what you did with it! TFS!
