Our challenge this week was to make a Love themed card with unusual colors and a masculine twist. I stamped the boat scene and the corresponding text in Memento's Teal Zeal. I thought maybe this could go for a guy that liked fishing... it was better in my head than it evolved on paper!

I used the same sentiment on the front, stamping it over and over to create a background.

I cut the Love Die and the Heart Die three times, stacking them up to create an element, like chipboard versus just one layer of paper. Finished card is 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" opening tent style at the bottom.

  1. This is such a great card. Great job!!

  2. Wonderful way to highlight that water scene. It's so subtle - like a watermark. Makes you come in closer for a better look and then bam! Really nice masculine card!

  3. Wow! Well done! The colors, the layout! The sentiment! All just go perfect together!

  4. Jenny I love your card! I especially like how you used the quote in the background (one of my favorites) and the mini scroll heart in the bottom corner - all these different elements just pull the eye around the card - great!

  5. Such a beautiful color and card, Jenny! Love the beautiful inside sentiment ! Great use of some wonderful dies as well.

  6. Love that boat image and sentiment!! This is perfect!!

  7. What pretty colors, Jenny! Love the dock scene, too. And such a wonderful layout on this.

  8. Stunning! I love the rowboat and the color scheme.
