We are all using some kind of Resist Technique along with the theme of Flowers.
Jenny Gropp - you are here!

I used the Dragonfly Stamp and Die Set to create my focal point. I stamped the dragonfly on watercolor paper and heat embossed using Clear Embossing Powder. Then I used Adirondack's Butterscotch Spray for my background color. I used a baby wipe to wipe any lingering color from the dragonfly. These are my colors--- love this combo! I used the floral print and other papers from Bo Bunny's Somewhere in Time Collection for my card.

I die cut the solid dragonfly and cut it in between the wings to get an additional layer. I purposely put it a little off center. I used a Chestnut Roan Cats Eye to ink up all the edges of my printed paper for a vintage feel.

On the inside I used the new Thanks Die along with corner pieces from the new Floral Frame Die Set. Again, I inked up all the elements with a Chestnut Roan Chalk Cats Eye. The Thanks Die I cut twice, adding a second layer of dark blue peeking out here and there.

I stamped Dragonfly Dreams in Nautical Blue by Memento---one of my favorite inks!! It's an odd shaped card, measuring 5" x 4 1/2" and opening tent style. Lots of dimension on this card, but it's hard to see in the pictures. I used foam tape and Dimensional Silicone for paper to raise up layers and the dragonfly.

Serendipity Stamps- New Dies Blog Hop!

It's a HOP! New Dies are being introduced from Serendipity Stamps! We are all showing off multiple cards using all the new goodies! Wanna win a gift certificate to SHOP... easy enough... just hop around and leave comments on all the blogs. A random commenter will be picked who has left a comment on all the blogs! The winner will be posted on Mary's blog on Monday the 19th.

Here's your hop list:

I used the new Hello Die on this cute little quickie card! I cut the die twice shadowing it in white. I also popped it up adding a little dimension. I used Spellbinder's Romantic Rectangles Two for the base of the card.
The butterfly paper and the aqua paper on the inside of the card are both from the 6x6 Echo Park pad - Summer Bliss. I added the new Small Butterfly on the inside. I glued the black die cut to white paper and hand cut the solid white shape. The finished card size is 5" x 3" and opens tent style at the bottom.

This one really shines! I used bright gold mirror card for the card base and the new Peace Die! An eye catching holiday card for sure! I paired up the Peace Die with the Ornament Die. I hung it from a little greenery die cut. I used a Dark Moss Chalk Cat's Eye to edge some of the paper and the pine pieces.

Once again, I shadowed the Peace word with a second red die cut and used foam tape to pop it up. I used Spellbinder's A2 Modern Stationery Dies to create the card base. The papers are all from Authentique's 6x6 paper pad- Joyous.

I love this new Floral Frame Set and it comes as a set with fantastic additional embellishment die cuts! The pattern in the frame matches the larger Floral Butterfly and Floral Dragonfly Dies... and along with the new frame a mini version of the butterfly and dragonfly are included! On this card I cut the new mini Butterfly and glued it to a red piece of card stock. I embossed the entire butterfly panel together so the finished piece has a beautiful finished look.
Here's the inside of the card. I stamped a Thinking of You sentiment and then used the frame again in the background as well as the cute little corner pieces -- another die element included with the Floral Frame Set!
Here's the up close so you can see the embossed center panel. Finished card size is 5" square. A little button and bow to embellish!

Here's your hop list again,
Lots of amazing ideas from the ladies!!!

Yes.... the Carpenters are on my ipod! So I had to have this stamp... I can't look at it without humming the song in my head. I thought this sentiment paired up with this cute Jillibean paper perfectly! I cut a couple of the birds out to pop up and used a little heart above them from the Mini Heart Row Die. This would make a great Valentine Card or just a nice card for your sweetie!

I stamped the heart using Versafine Crimson Red and the stamped the Love you over it in black. The card base is created with Spellbinder's Lattice Rectangles, the final card fits in to an A2 envelope.

Serendipity Stamps - Challenge #31

Today the Design Team is starting a new challenge for the month of May. It's all about flowers! The Design Team is using the Floral Alphabet today on all of our cards.  Find all the details HERE for Challenge SSCB #31 on the Serendipity Challenge Blog.

Make sure and check out the cards the other ladies came up with today - they are stunning!
Jenny Gropp - you are here!

I have had Serendipity's Floral Alphabet in my collection for a long time... way before I was part of the design team. I think this Alphabet set is one of the prettiest stamp sets in my entire stamp collection! I thought I'd show off a quick card for Mother's Day since it's right around the corner. I kept everything clean and simple wanting the stamps to be the focus. I stamped my letters using Versamark and Clear Detail EP and heat embossed them. Then I used Distress Ink - Spun Sugar and dragged the stamp pad directly over the letters.  I mounted them on a strip created from our new Floral Frame Die, cutting the frame apart to make a strip. I also used the small corner pieces that come in the same Frame Die Set.

I had fun playing with Tiddly Ink's Cat Fever set.
Loved this little cute kitty! A little airbrushing and piercing combined with lots of layers made easy with Perfect Layers.... came together for a cute and fun little mini card! I stamped the image twice and gently curved the kitty and fishbowl popping it up in the center of the oval.

Here's the inside where I added a quick little kitty on the liner too.

I made a second little mini card (4"x4") using the same set. I stamped the kitty on the white oval and then added the embossing. I stamped the kitty a second time and then cut out the kitty head and body only, popping it up.

On the inside again I just added a simple liner and simply stamped this very prissy kitty!  All of the printed paper is from Bo Bunny's Happy Tails 6x6 pad.

Here's your hop list one more time:

I thought this might make an easy thank you card for a teacher. I used the House Die to create the card base. I stamped the background in black using the Cover-a-Card Ticking stamp. I added the little Thank you and cut it out with the Flag Die SetI gently curved the the banner and rounded the apple, I used dimensional silicone to pop up both.

I added a little yellow in to the apple and the leaves to brighten it up a bit. After coloring the apple, I cut it out.

On the inside I added a liner with the pattern made from the second generation stamping of the Ticking Background
