Everyone is showing off two images on their posts so it's double the eye candy! Be sure and leave a comment on everyone's post. You could win the entire release of new stamps! Here's the hop list for today:

CARD #1

This NEW whimsical Christmas Tree (#1287G) screamed out to be paper pieced! So that's just what I did! I used Versafine Black in to stamp with since I wasn't using Copics. Versafine always gives me such a clean* and crisp print. I used paper from Authentique's 6x6 Joyous Collection to create the card. Spellbinder's Grand Scalloped Rectangles were used for the ivory embossed layer and creating the card base. Also in the mix... Spellbinder's Labels 18 and Spellbinder's Ovals. I might have gotten a little carried away with the layers!

 On the inside....
I used the Small Snowflake Flourish to dress it up a bit and added the sentiment Happy Holidays. Both are stamped using Versafine Crimson Red.

Here's the up close view. You can see I added piercing and foam tape for dimension. The tree is cut out and popped up as well.  A little glitter glue for sparkle on the tree's star.

CARD #2

Spellbinder's Large Deckled Rectangles made creating this card a snap! This is the new fall image Pumpkins and Sunflowers (1286G). I airbrushed before coloring using Copic Y19. Some quick coloring using fall's warm colors brought this to life quickly. I did cut the image a tad, making it a little skinnier to better fit.

Here's the inside! You can see I edged the panel using a Cat's Eye Chestnut Roan ink pad. I added the Autumn tag flat inside as well.

Happy Hopping!
Here's the Hop List Again:

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday #231 - FTTC231 - Old, New, Borrowed & Blue!

Welcome to Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC231) for this week! Allison is this week's hostess! She has a different kinda challenge for us today, there's a few tiny rules but they are easy and FUN! Find all the details on the Flourishes Blog about how to play along with our Timeless Tuesday Challenges and link up your project.

Here are the details on Allison's challenge for us:

We're right in the throws of wedding season so this week, create a card or project where you use something "Old, New, Borrowed & Blue":
    • OLD - something older from your product stash
    • NEW - the newest stamp that your just acquired
    • BORROWED - scraplift a "design" from our Flourishes Gallery (please link the project inspiration piece from our gallery)
    • BLUE - add something blue on it!
    • It does NOT have to be a wedding themed project!

Check out what the ladies created this week:

I totally followed the rules for this one!
    • NEW: Flourishes Garden Fairies Stamp Set
    • OLD: Paper from Basic Grey 6x6 Two Scoops Collection
    • BORROWED: I scrap lifted the card layout from a beauty that Cindy Lawrence created. You can find it here on this LINK. I stayed pretty true to the layout that Cindy created!
    • BLUE: I added blue paper and airbrushing!
I started by Stamping the fairy and using the Outside of the Box Technique using Spellbinder's Labels 28. I stamped the fairy on Eclipse Tape and cut it out to make the image when I airbrushed with Copic B52.

After airbrushing I colored the image using the Copics I have shown above.

On the inside I added some leftover paper scraps and a fun sentiment from the Garden Fairies Stamp Set.

Here's the final up close!  I added a little foam tape for dimension. Of course a fairy needs to sparkle so I added a row of Swarovski Light Blue Crystals along the bottom. And I used a Viva Holographic Glitter Liner to lightly add sparkle to the flower and fairy wings.

I set aside the Copics again for this one. Just dome pretty dies and simple stamping. I did add a little airbrushing but you could easily get the same look by sponging. I stamped using Versafine Vinatge Sepia ink. I used the new Bandana (#L13144) stamp in the background. The new Amazing Grace (#E13141) stamp fit perfectly in the Spellbinder's Decorative Label 22.

A little foam tape between layers adds dimension.

Here's the inside. I added some airbrushing and piercing to the sentiment which is from the clear set I am Thankful.

I've gone Halloween again! I can't resist! I used the NEW Raven Text Background Stamp (#L14063) which is very cool and the fine text stamps beautifully clean! No Copics today, just simple stamping and beautiful die cuts for embellishments.

I used one of the birds from the Bird Bath Die Set to shadow against the moon. I cut the bare branch die up just a bit to arrange it to fit my layout. I added some orange airbrushing to the frame for the sentiment.

Here's the inside of the card. I spiced it up with some die cuts. Finished card opens tent style and measures 5" x 4 1/2".

Here's my card for today...

This little Apple Barrel (#G1923) caught my eye right off the bat. It's an image from artist Gary Robertson... and you know he likes to sneak the little kitty "Max" in to his scenes occasionally... one of the reasons his images are some of my favorites! There is just a little bit of kitty peeking up behind the top of the basket! I popped up the image panel using a little foam tape to add dimension. I used an IO Flag Die to frame the NEW Thanks  (#A9061) sentiment.

I cut the image down just a little bit to better fit the shape of the nestie. With so much shading in the image it makes it so easy and forgiving to color with any medium! All that shading will cover up any flaws in your color blends! I added a small white layer to the image for a crisp clean edge.

On the inside I added a quick sentiment You're the Best stamped with Versafine Vintage Sepia.

SSCB#16 Serendipity Stamps - Fabric Challenge

Welcome to a new challenge for Serendipity Stamps!
The Serendipity Challenge this week is all about Fabric! You can find all the details on how to play along with us at the Serendipity Stamps Challenge BlogWith each challenge we always have a gift certificate up for grabs to a random player.

Check out how the DT used fabric for this challenge:
Jenny Gropp - you are here!

I created the card front with a layer of fabric. I know you can use dies to cut through a lot of different items, but this was the first time I tried fabric. I was really pleased with the result and loved the look and FEEL of the fabric on the card front.

I covered card stock with a sheet of wide ScorPal tape. I removed the adhesive and laid the fabric on the adhesive.

Adding the fabric to the card stock really made a difference when cutting. It cut nice and clean right to the edge. The finished card fits nicely in to an A2 Envelope.

Here's my card for today...
This beautiful NEW sentiment "Joy to the World" screamed to be gold embossed. Simple gold and white are beautiful always and this would make for a simple but very striking Christmas card. I used Detail Gold Embossing Powder to make sure all the pretty details in the font would be nice and clear. I used Spellbinder's Lattice Rectangles to build my card base.
My background is a Cover-a-Card Stamp - Medallion. Again, I used Detail Gold Embossing Powder to really show off the fine detail on the background. After die cutting the sentiment, I added a gold mat using the 1/16" edge on my Perfect Layer Rulers.

On the inside I added a stamped border using my leftovers and a cute little snowflake as an embellishment. The finished card is 4" x 5".

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday #230 - Christmas in July with a small catch...

Welcome to Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC230) for this week! Katie is this week's hostess! She wants everyone to get a head start on Christmas cards...but there's a catch...your card needs to be semi flat for mailing, so no big bows or lumpy, bumpy envelopes here! So put aside your foam tape and pop dots for this one! I saw Katie last week and she was sweet enough to bring me a cookie from my favorite restaurant... so I decided I would grumble too much! Foam tape is usually a main item on my cards!

FTTC#230 Make it FLAT and Christmas Themed!
Check out what seasonal creations we all came up with:

I created a "sweet" and simple little card using the Sweets of the Season Stamp Set. I crated the card base using Spellbinder's Labels 28. I used a smaller die from the same set to frame my sentiment. I added some airbrushing and piercing before I removed the small label from the die. As per Katie instructed everything is flat, no popped up layers. It was hard to resist! I did sneak a little bow in there... but its not too bumpy, I promise!!

I airbrushed with V25. I stamped my gingerbread men in Memento Tuxedo Black and hand cut them out, leaving a little white border showing. You can see the colors I used for them, I chose my colors by trying to match the same tones in the Gingerbread Delights Graphic 45 paper. I enhanced the little frosting stripes using a Signo White Gel Pen. I added a little Glossy Accents to give a little shine to the "frosted" areas.

Here's the inside. The little purple candy cane stripe is on the back of the Gingerbread Delights paper. I used a few left over pieces on the inside. I glue my strips down and then die cut  - so I get nice clean edges. I usually use ScorPal Tape or Ultimate Glue to adhere my small strips. I make sure to glue the entire strip so that the edges don't peel up.
