SSBC #10 - Background Blackberries

The Serendipity Challenge this week is all about backgrounds... and using a stamp that is not necessarily meant as a background stamp to create a background. You can join along with us at the Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog. With each challenge we always have a gift certificate up for grabs to a random player. Serendipity has a new sale starting today -40% off the highest priced item in your basket. Use the code 40fromhigh when you check out. You can place an order and take advantage of this sale up until May 1, 2013.

Check out the creative backgrounds the team came up with for this challenge:

I used the blackberry image to create my own patterned paper and made a simple card for today. I might be jumping the gun already with the summer tag, we just finally made it to spring! I created a shaped card using the largest die in Spellbinder's Eyelet Squares set. A few 1/16" border layers around the the image were made easily using Perfect Layer Rulers

Here are the Copics I used.
Flowers: E81, Y23, 0 Blender
Leaves: G85, G82, Y11
Berries: RV93, RV99, R56, YG11, V25 - for the berries it was a lot of layering different colors on top of each other.

I added a quick little summer tag, popped up with foam tape. A little jute string bow to finish it off.
