Tulips and Stitches

The challenge over at FLourishes this week is to use embroidery on your creation. You can check out all the challenge details here - Timeless Tuesday 213. You could use faux stitching, but I actually pulled out needle and thread. I pulled out the new Tulips for Friends set to use today. This is really a quick card, despite the stitching. Die cutting and a little Copic coloring.

When the image was still in the die I used the edge of my nestie as a guide to add the piercing for my stitches.

Copic Colors

I had to take a picture of the die cut layers, the tulips end up covering a good bit.... But this is a beautiful die I and wanted to share it. The die is called Anja's Square and is from Marianne Design.

I added a sentiment from the same tulip set on the inside of the card.
  • Stamps by Flourishes - SS228 Tulips For Friends
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Versafine Onyx Black
  • Paper: Bo Bunny Double Dot Green, Neenah Classic Crest Natural White, Yellow
  • Other: Embroidery Floss, Foam Tape, Paper Piercer, Marianne Die - Anja's Square, Copics
