Cards for Men!

The challenge for the Impression Obsession Design Team today is to create a card based on the theme "It's a Man's World". You can always play along with us for a chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate to shop at IO! You can find all the details posted on the IO Blog if you wanna play along!
Check out what man cards the team came up with:

I used one of Dina's fabulous new stamps that she designed for IO and made this fun little gate fold card. You can see how it opens in the picture below. The two side panels were stamped with Cover-a-Card background stamps. The sailboat oval tucks under the button and circles to close the card. I used Copics to color the image. I also used Distress Ink Frayed Burlap to sponge along the edges. The corner detail is created with a Corner Chomper. The card finishes to a an A2 size.

  • Stamps: all images from Impression Obsession - H13022 Sail Collage,  CC063 CAC Map, CR005 Graph
  • Ink: Distress Ink Frayed Burlap, Memento Espresso Truffle
  • Paper: Navy, Red, Brown, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White
  • Other: Spellbinder's Oval Nesties, Ranger's Ink Blending Tool, Jute String, Bow Easy Tool, Circle Punches, Copics, Corner Chomper, Scor Pal Board

  1. Love your card Jenny! It is so hard to do nice men's cards and this is really inspiring. Love Dina's stamp too! Hugs Lori

  2. Loving this beautiful creation. So well designed, everything works together perfectly.

  3. Great layout and great color scheme.

  4. Beautiful card, love the rich colors. I'm also sick of the humid and hot weather here in Minnesota and very little rain. Mary L Schreiber

  5. Wait, I think I was supposed to comment on this one today instead of the other, oh well! :) You haven't labeled it as 'Impression Obsession' yet. Great card design, love how it opens. This boat image is an awesome stamp, I am really liking the new DKdesigns stamps. Great job! Thanks for sharing.

  6. Love the red sails! Awesome fold! Thanks for the inspiration!
