Prickley Pear - NEW stamps!

Prickley Pear is introducing new sets this week! Today, and the past two days the DT has been showing off new stamps with a blog hop. The set I am using today is called Dragonflies 2, but as you can see the set also shows off some new beautiful butterflies.  There are coordinating dies for the butterfly and the dragonfly. 

 This card is super easy and I think came together really nicely. I love the clean look off the ivory and white. It's always hard for me to remember that having white space and no pattern paper is ok! 

 I used the Prickley Pear Butterfly Die to cut out the black butterfly. I heat embossed the ivory butterfly with the swirls and then cut it out trimming it close to the edge. The ivory die cut is from SPellbinders and is called Lattice Motifs, I thought it may be fussy to die cut with all the openings but it cut out beautifully and all the little pieces fell right out. 

The oval in the center is popped up. I gently curled the butterfly wings and used Dimensional Silicone under the wings to keep the bent and popped up.  added a few gems down the center of the butterfly.
