 I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We had a wonderful evening with my husband's family on Christmas Eve. Christmas Day was quiet other than the sniffles and sounds of a cold from my husband.... hoping I can avoid the germs!! My family will be back in town and we will have a nice dinner Monday night at my house... so the Holday fun continues for another day... hoping the sniffles leave! Here is a simple and quick thank you that I cooked up for today's challenge.

Simple and easy coloring with Copics, colors shown above. I added 1/8" and 1/16" border mats using Perfect Layers Rulers. 

 I added the sentiment on the inside of the card, along with a little scrap of the printed reindeer paper.

Here is the finished card front.... all blinged up! Lots of Crystals to SHINE! Finished card is an A2 card size and I used the Corner Chomper to round the top corners of the card.

Winter Snowmen

Today the Serendipity Team is showing off Simple Christmas Cards.

A few layers and it it looks a little busy... but simple it is! I added the snowflake border on the top and the bottom of the image. Then I popped the image up with foam tape to add a little dimension.

 Here are the two Copics I used to color the background. I colored right over the snow flurries.... using the Colorless Blender pen to go back and make them white in the end.

 I used some light grey tones to add some subtle shadows in the snow. Also since I was using kraft card stock, I added E42 in the mix with most of the colors, toning the brightness down a bit.

I used Perfect Layers Rulers to add 1/16" edge borders on the image and the kraft snowflake panel. Finished card is an A2. I used the Corner Chomper to round the card's corners.

I stamped the snowflake on the blue pattern paper, embossing it with White Detail EP. A few layers and a decorative die cut to create this very simple card.

I used Scor Pal tape to add a ribbon band around both layers of the card. I raised the center panel up with foam tape. A row of piercing along the white layer's border. Easy Peasy card for today!

Merry Christmas Ornament

 A few layers to create the background. I cut out the ornament very close to the edge with scissors after stamping, then I used the coordinating die to cut out a solid red ornament to back it with. I used a CB folder to emboss just a portion of the label panel, stamping the sentiment below the embossing.

 Quick coloring with a really light touch since the areas were so small. Here are the Copics I used, matching the reds and greens to the tones in the DP.

Simple elements all put together.... with a few jewels to dress things up a bit. Finished card is an A2 that opens at the bottom, tent style.

Kitty Christmas

A fun little kitty card for today!

I'm a sucker for all black kitty stamps. This little kitty had some swirls in the body of the stamp, but I altered them and colored the entire kitty black. I love this little guys wispy whiskers and swirly tail! I framed the image panel with a Spellbinder's Postage Stamps Die and studded the outside with large adhesive pearls.

I airbrushed around the inside of the square nestie using YG25. Then I added random pierced holes around the edge. A few layers to dress it up. I used Copic Opaque White Paint on the cat's hat.

Bright and Shiny

 Bright and Shiny was our theme this week.... I started with all metallic papers.

I used the blank gift card template stamp (below) to create the red frame. I cut the inside of the frame out and then flipped it over so the stamped lines did not show. I glued it to the white card stock and then ran it through a Cuttlebug Folder... so the two pieces kind of melded together after embossing.

I used 1/16" Rainbow Tape to add the black and white lines adding a little extra detailing. I heat embossed the tree and then.... BLING, BLING, BLING... lotsa crystals! I had this yellow star crystal in my stash which was perfect to add right on top. I used foam tape to raise the tree up a bit. Finished card is an A2. Traditional colors and a super easy layout for this card!

Christmas Carolers

Simple and clean layouts in this week's tutorial over at Outlines. I covered the entire card front with pattern paper. I tried to choose Copics that matched the paper's color. I added some simple layers and a bow. No nesties or any fancy embellishments... just an easy no fuss card!

Joy is in the Air

 The Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge this week is a fun sketch challenge from Silke! The layout was a quick and easy one, so I had to make some time to ink up this cute little image and make a card. You can find the sketch and all the details of how to play along on the Flourishes Blog.

 I stamped the image and cut it out with a Spellbinder's Circle Nestie. Here are the Copics I used to color the image.

Since Silke was hosting this challenge, I had to throw some silver ball embellishments on this in her honor! I heat embossed the sentiment along the bottom with Detail White EP. I added small piercings around the circle image. I adhered the red silk bow with a dab of Ultimate Glue. Finished card is an A2.

 A fun little tea pot image today from Serendipity Stamps. Some simple die cuts and a few pierced edges to dress this image up. Card size is an A2.

 Above are the Copics I used to color the image. I airbrushed with R21 around the edges before I took the circle out of the die.

 I stamped the small little heart tea cup on the bottom corner of the inside.

 Keepin' it simple today. I thought I would stick with with just embossing today.... I just got the new Gold Delicata Ink and had been looking for a project to try it out. 

 Here is the inside of the card, with a smaller snowflake around the edges. 

The To and From stamp actually is to use with a gift card and looks like this.... 

I only inked up the top portion of the stamp.

The Delicata ink is a more brilliant gold than I have used before. It is a pigment ink and you can heat emboss or not. It is a yellow gold, but I found the yellow tones calmed down when I paired it up with the   softer gold layer. It is an ink that is supposed to not fade and keep the look of gold foil. I did heat emboss with Detail Clear Ep, just to add a small glossy finish to the snowflake. Since it was Detail Powder the gloss is very subtle.

Snow Kitty

 Love this little snow kitty... well, to be honest... I love all the kitty images! This card was a quickie.... I colored the image and then mimicked the layers in the stamp for my card base. Perfect Layer Rulers made it super quick to create this! I have to say the blues matched in my craft room but not so much in the white light of my light tent. Grrrrrr. 

 Here are the Copic Markers I used to color the image. You can see in this pic that the image also has a border around it, but I cut that portion off to create a smaller main panel and allow for more layers!

All simple embellishing on this one.... button and bow, Swiss Dots CB folder in the background and a simple row of piercing under the image. The image panel is popped up with foam tape.

I'm sure a little (or a large!) Peppermint Martini will warm you up on a chilly night! 

A quick and easy card, stamping the martini multiple times to create the background. I will confess to using an entire packages of small adhesive crystals on this one card! Using Glossy Accents I added an outline to all the martini glasses and the little red berries to make them pop out a bit.

Here are the Copics I used to color the little martinis. Finished card is an A2 size, tent style, opening at the bottom. A quick and simple card.... it took me more time to put all the crystals on that anything else!!!
